Meet the ATCA Board

About
Jessica Santascoy

ATCA Board member since 2020

Jessica’s foundation in the Alexander Technique is built upon a multi-city training lineage. Jessica began studying in 2010 with Robert Britton in San Francisco. She began training at The Alexander Educational Center (TAEC) in Berkeley and completed certification at the American Center for the Alexander Technique (ACAT). Her education is shaped by esteemed teachers including Robert Britton, Giora Pinkas, John Barron, Judy Stern, Brooke Lieb, and Beret Arcaya.

Jessica remains committed to continuous refinement, participating in weekly postgraduate study with Robert Britton to evolve her practice.

Her teaching journey is global, with workshops and private lessons conducted across North America (New York City, Boulder, San Francisco, and Montreal) and Europe (Amsterdam, Madrid, and Warsaw).

Beyond the studio, Jessica is an award-winning strategist in organizational transformation. She has over a decade of experience overseeing high-impact health and educational initiatives. Her ability to scale complex programs is evidenced by her NASA Group Achievement Award, earned for her leadership of a national educational engagement initiative. Currently, Jessica leverages her expertise at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) School of Medicine, where she manages the UCSF Music Training Program—a study exploring how piano improvisation and music listening impact health, well-being, and cognition.

Jessica’s unique intersection of expertise in strategic transformation, collaboration, and engagement informs her contributions to the ATCA Board, which she joined in May 2021.
