Michaela Wohlgemuth

ATCA Board member since 2026

Her work now is centred training acting students to improve performance and develop confidence on stage and in their wider life. She is one of the co-founders of the Irish Society of Alexander Technique Teachers (ISATT) and has been training teachers since 2003.
From 2006 - 2018 she was the Assistant Director of Ireland’s only Alexander Teaching College in Galway. In 2016, she joined the faculty at The Lir Academy of Dramatic Art Dublin as the lead Alexander Technique Tutor.

Michaela was a co-Director for the 13th International Alexander Technique Congress in Dublin 2025.

Her work is greatly influenced also by the teachings of the Polyvagal Theory, Peter Levine and SE, Neurodynamic Breathwork, Vinny Yoga and Psychosensory Techniques.

Michaela Wohlgemuth came to the Alexander Technique in 1993. After training in the Alexander Technique Institute Los Angeles 1999 and working with the performing community in LA, she moved to Ireland and developed working as a breathing/movement and somatic trauma-resolution specialist with the Alexander Technique.
